A weather warning for snow has been issued for London as temperatures in the UK are expected to drop to as low as -20C this week. The Met Office predicts between 2cm and 5cm of snow in southern parts of the UK, including the southern half of the capital, on Wednesday, which could cause disruptions. Additionally, amber health alerts are in place across England until midday on Sunday due to the cold snap and recent snowfall impacting parts of the country.

Tories pledge to expel low-paid and unemployed migrants from UK
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch is planning to tighten migration rules, requiring migrants to demonstrate a longer commitment to the UK before qualifying for indefinite leave to remain, from 5 to 10 years. Legal migrants must prove they have been "net contributors" to the economy for the past decade, covering their and their children's costs, while illegal migrants will be automatically disqualified from obtaining indefinite leave to remain, even if recognized as refugees.
