Snow and ice are expected to hit the UK this weekend, with the Met Office issuing yellow weather warnings for northeastern England, including Newcastle and Bradford, from 6am to 2pm on Saturday. The UK Health Security Agency has also issued a cold weather alert for parts of North East England, Yorkshire, and the Humber, warning of minor impacts on health and social care services. Met Office forecasts 2 to 5cm of snow over the Cheviots and North Yorks Moors, with possible localised accumulations at lower levels, as well as heavier rain in southern Wales and southwestern England.
