Snow and ice are expected to hit the UK this weekend, with the Met Office issuing yellow weather warnings for northeastern England, including Newcastle and Bradford, from 6am to 2pm on Saturday. Met Office forecasts 2 to 5cm of snow over the Cheviots and North Yorks Moors, with possible localised accumulations at lower levels, as well as heavier rain in southern Wales and southwestern England.
