UK needs annual migration plan to end incoherent policies, says thinktank

The Institute for Government is urging ministers to abandon reactive decisions and introduce an annual migration plan to address decades of inconsistent work visa policies. The think tank criticizes past governments for formulating kneejerk policies in response to media scrutiny of net migration figures, leading to incoherent and unpredictable outcomes.
