Coopers of Stortford recommends planting tulip bulbs, garlic, shallots, and onions, harvesting pumpkins and squash, using cloches and mulch to protect plants from frost, and providing bird feeders and water for wildlife. Additionally, they suggest cleaning gutters, disinfecting water butts, and rotating their use to prevent disease in the garden. Winter sowing seeds is also recommended by Growing Healthy Kids as a simple way to prepare for spring.
