The RAC has announced that around 19 million leisure trips are expected over the upcoming four-day Easter weekend, with significant traffic congestion anticipated from Thursday to Saturday. This peak in travel coincides with the end of school holidays for many families, leading to an estimated 2.7 million leisure car trips planned each day across the UK. The RAC warns that traffic conditions will be equally severe on Thursday, Good Friday, and Saturday, creating a “hat-trick of hold-ups” for drivers embarking on their getaways.
