Passengers stranded on the Bluebridge Cook Strait ferry for nearly 14 hours are finally disembarking in Wellington Harbour due to a mechanical issue. The Connemara ferry’s journey to Picton was cut short about 40 minutes in after a ramp malfunction was discovered. Passengers reported a stressful experience with ongoing announcements about the situation. Disembarking began around 10:20 AM after cranes were brought in to assist.
