UAE planning second nuclear power plant

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is planning to build a second nuclear power plant as part of its efforts to diversify its energy sources. The country already has one nuclear power plant, the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, which began operations in 2020. The new plant is expected to further enhance the UAE’s energy security and reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.
