U-Ming orders capesize brace in China

Taiwanese company U-Ming Marine Transport, a subsidiary of the Far Eastern Group, is expanding its fleet with 180,000 dwt capesize bulkers from Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding, to be delivered in 2028 for $75m to $79m each. With nearly 80 ships in its fleet, U-Ming operates in various segments including bulkers, VLCCs, LR1s, cement carriers, and crew transfer vessels, recently adding ultramax bulkers from Oshima Shipbuilding and capes from Hengli Heavy Industry to its roster.
