Vietnam is preparing for 500mm of rainfall as Typhoon Wipha approaches its northern coast, following its passage near the Philippines, where five have died and several are missing due to flooding.
As Typhoon Wipha nears Vietnam, it is positioned 60km off Haiphong City with wind speeds of 102 kph, while around 350,000 soldiers are on standby due to expected dangerous flooding. In the Philippines, severe flooding continues to displace thousands, leading to school and office closures, with reports of casualties and missing individuals.
