Two-year-old boy dies after car hits broken-down vehicle

A tragic crash on the A1 northbound near Stibbington Junction resulted in the death of a two-year-old boy and serious injuries to five others in the car, which had broken down. The vehicle was struck by a Volkswagen Touran, driven by a 64-year-old man who sustained minor injuries and has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Cambridgeshire Police is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to assist with the investigation. The family of the deceased child is being supported by specialist officers.
