Two teenage brothers, Wesley and Andruw Cornett, went missing in Oroville, Calif., after Wesley’s kayak flipped on a stormy lake and Andruw dove in to help on Dec. 14. Despite extensive search efforts involving 280 team members from 21 agencies, including divers and sonar technology, the boys have not been found. The search has shifted to focusing on scouring the surface of the lake using aircraft, drones, trained dogs, boats, and on-shore vehicles, as their mother, April Clark, mourns the loss of her sons and praises Andruw for his heroic attempt to save Wesley.

Man sentenced to time served for trying to open plane door, stab flight attendant in neck
Francisco Severo Torres, a 35-year-old Massachusetts man, was sentenced to time served after spending 26 months in prison for attempting to open a United Airlines emergency exit mid-flight and for stabbing a flight attendant with a broken spoon during the incident on March 5, 2023.
