Two small earthquakes, measuring 3.7 and 3.5 in magnitude, rattled the Malibu area over Friday night and Saturday morning. The quakes were felt across the Westside, San Fernando Valley, Ventura County, Los Angeles basin, and South Bay, with residents reporting a sharp jolt and triggered car alarms in Ventura County. The epicenter was located seven miles northwest of Malibu and nine miles southwest of Thousand Oaks, but fortunately, there were no reports of damage resulting from the earthquakes.
