Orca Interacts with Diver Near Coromandel

A Kiwi diver, Jordy Bardin, had a remarkable encounter with a pod of orca while diving near the Mercury Islands off the Coromandel coast. In a video shared on her Facebook page, Bardin documented the moment an orca approached her boat, coming within arm’s reach. She described the experience as an “insane interaction” and humorously noted that the orca had sneaked up on her while she was in the water. Bardin has 18,000 followers on her social media platform.
