People in Indonesia’s Aceh province gathered to mark the 20th anniversary of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, one of modern history’s worst natural disasters. Many visited mass graves to pay respects to the over 230,000 victims, with some still searching for their missing loved ones. The earthquake and tsunami killed more than 170,000 people in Indonesia alone and displaced 1.7 million across several countries.
