Residents of Ward 83 in Tsakani have been dealing with a sewage blockage issue causing distress and health hazards since last year, with dirty water leaking into homes and streets. Despite pleas for help from residents like Bafana Nkosi and Nompumelelo Makhubo, the municipality and ward councillor have been slow to address the problem, attributing it to foreign objects in the sewer system. The City of Ekurhuleni has confirmed the issue and is working on repairs, urging residents to avoid throwing foreign objects into the system to prevent future blockages.
