TSA proposes new rule to change how REAL ID deadline is enforced – NBC Chicago

The Transportation Security Administration has proposed a new rule to delay full enforcement of the REAL ID deadline until 2027, despite the current deadline of May 7, 2025. Travelers without a REAL ID compliant ID or acceptable alternative after the initial deadline will still need to adhere to TSA guidelines.
