In a bold move, Republican House member Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee introduced a resolution to amend the U.S. Constitution, allowing President Donald Trump and future presidents to be elected to a third term. The Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported that the Trump administration violated the Impoundment Control Act by withholding congressionally appropriated funds for the Head Start program, significantly reducing fund disbursement between January and April 2025.
