Trump rules out jobs for Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley in administration

In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump announced that he will not be including Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley in his second administration, opting for loyalists who have not previously criticized him. Pompeo, seen as a top contender for defence secretary, has clashed with Trump on issues such as US aid to Ukraine and government spending. Haley, who heavily criticized Trump during the Republican primary, is also not expected to join the administration. Trump’s decision follows his appointment of Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff and his clean sweep of swing states Nevada and Arizona.
