President Trump called out GOP Senators McConnell, Paul, Collins, and Murkowski, urging them to support his Canadian tariff policy by voting against a joint resolution to terminate his national emergency declaration. Trump accused the senators of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome” and being disloyal to the GOP. Despite resistance from the senators, including cosponsor Rand Paul, the resolution aims to penalize Canada for the sale of Fentanyl, a deadly drug, through tariffs.
