Trump Administration Targets Drug Boats in Pacific and Caribbean

U.S. Southern Command reported military strikes on three suspected drug smuggling boats in the eastern Pacific and Caribbean, resulting in 11 deaths. The command claimed the vessels were linked to Designated Terrorist Organizations engaged in narcotrafficking. Despite congressional criticism and the lack of independent verification, the strikes continue, with more than 40 operations executed this year. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth emphasized the necessity of these actions to combat drug trafficking affecting American lives.
