President Trump met with Jordanian King Abdullah II at the White House and discussed plans for the U.S. to “take” the Gaza Strip, relocate its residents to Jordan and other Arab nations, and redevelop the territory. The king expressed the need to consider the best interests of all involved and mentioned that Arab nations would present their own plan to Trump. Trump’s proposal has faced criticism but has been embraced by Israel. Jordan offered to take in 2,000 sick children from Gaza for medical treatment. Trump reiterated his plan to relocate all of Gaza’s population to other locations in Jordan and Egypt.
