Trump hush money sentencing delayed indefinitely

A New York judge indefinitely postponed President-elect Donald Trump’s sentencing in his criminal hush money case, allowing his attorneys to file motions to dismiss the 34 counts of falsifying business records. The ruling cancels the scheduled sentencing and gives Trump’s lawyers time to argue for a complete dismissal, which the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office opposes. Trump’s legal team, led by Todd Blanche, contends that as President-elect, Trump is immune from criminal prosecution, a claim supported by the court order.
