Trump orders end of humanitarian parole for migrants of four countries

President Trump has terminated a program that allowed over half a million migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the U.S. temporarily. The Biden administration had used this humanitarian parole program, which granted migrants two years in the country with work permits and protection from deportation. Trump’s decision is aimed at stopping illegal migration into the U.S. and it is unclear what will happen to those currently under the program.
