Staffers from Elon Musk’s secretive government slashing effort, DOGE, have taken over the offices of top officials at the Department of Education, including acting Education Secretary Denise Carter and acting Under Secretary James Bergeron. They have rearranged furniture, set up white noise machines to muffle voices, and refused to vacate the prime office spaces. The DOGE staffers have shown a brazen attitude of entitlement, causing disruption and discomfort for agency employees.
