Most respondents were also skeptical about the impact of tariffs on job creation, with 56% supporting new tariffs on China, while 58% opposed Trump’s pardons for those involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. On immigration, Trump’s efforts to deport undocumented immigrants and send troops to the southern border received 59% and 64% approval, respectively.

Drug dealer Seth Forde gets extra jail time after being netted by Hawke’s Bay police operation
Seth John Forde, a 46-year-old former member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, has returned to prison after reoffending on parole, having bought guns for protection and using methamphetamine.
