Trump Administration Promises Faster Student Loan Forgiveness

The Trump administration has agreed to resume student loan forgiveness for approximately 2.5 million borrowers in specific federal repayment plans after a lawsuit from the American Federation of Teachers. This agreement will allow eligible borrowers to receive loan forgiveness without incurring high tax bills and mandates the Education Department to file progress reports on processing applications every six months.
