However, the consultation exercise was infiltrated by pranksters submitting suggestions like “waffles for every meal” and “cinema tickets on the NHS”. Despite the humorous submissions, serious proposals such as combatting NHS fraud and free prescriptions for all were also made, with Streeting emphasizing the need for public input to shape the 10-year strategy for the health service.
