The TCD Phil team secured the final spot in The Irish Times debate final, impressing judges with their ability to convey complex ideas effectively. The last semi-final, held at The Fitzgerald Chamber in UCD, featured the motion “This house believes that justice is better achieved outside the courts”. Trinity Phil will compete against UCD L&H Society and the Solicitors’ Apprentice Debating Society of Ireland in the final on February 28th at Queen’s University Belfast, debating the motion “This House believes that dialogue is dead”.
