The credit bureau TransUnion reported a data breach affecting over 4 million individuals, linked to an unidentified third-party application used for US consumer support operations. The breach, which occurred on July 28 and was discovered two days later, has been contained, with TransUnion offering free credit monitoring services to those affected.
