In BAKU, Azerbaijan, on March 26, Vagif Sadigov, vice president of AFFA, mentioned that the Azerbaijan national team has not been seen on the field for a long time, as reported by Trend via Idman.biz.

He discussed the matches played by the Azerbaijan national team against Mongolia and Bulgaria as part of the “FIFA series – Edition 2024” project organized by FIFA in Baku for the first time. The addition of new players to the team brought more strength and excitement to the game. Despite fighting until the end and equalizing the score, the Azerbaijani players put in a lot of effort to secure a win. This demonstrated the potential of the team and showcased a newly formed local team. Best of luck for the future. “We hope to see a team that progresses. These matches have highlighted the capabilities of the Azerbaijani team.”

Sadigov praised coach Arif Asadov for his professional work: “Asadov prepared the team well for the games. Through these two matches, he displayed the potential of Azerbaijani football players and coaches. With this type of performance, we can continue our journey with local talents in the future.”

He also mentioned the ongoing work of the Working Group in selecting a head coach: “There is currently no update on this matter. The focus is currently on selecting candidates for the AFFA presidency and Executive Committee. Once a final decision is reached, the Working Group will announce the outcome after the elections.”

It is worth noting that the Azerbaijan national team secured a 1-0 victory against Mongolia and drew 1-1 with Bulgaria in the “FIFA Series – Edition 2024”.

New EU cultural property laws, effective June 28, aim to prevent the trade of illegally exported goods but may overwhelm art dealers with excessive bureaucracy. While intended to protect cultural property, these regulations require proof of legitimate export for items over 200 years old valued above €18,000, posing significant challenges for the art market and potentially driving dealers out of the EU. Explain It To Me Like I'm 5: New EU laws aimed at preventing...
