Small business owner David Mauro of Jesusdoll.com is optimistic about a recent U.S.-China agreement to temporarily lower tariffs on imports from 145% to 30%, which he believes will allow for toy availability this Christmas season. With over 80% of toys sold in the U.S. made in China, Mauro had previously paused shipments due to high tariffs, but now plans to import $100,000 worth of dolls, ensuring stock for retailers during the crucial holiday period. Despite the still significant 30% tariff, Mauro feels it will enable him to conduct business, easing previous uncertainties.
