Toronto Zoo says credit card info ‘leaked on the dark web’ in cyber attack

The Toronto Zoo confirmed that transaction data, including credit card information, was leaked on the dark web after a cyber attack in January 2024. The compromised data includes names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and the last four digits of credit cards for guests and members who made transactions between 2000 and April 2023. The zoo has reported the incident to the IPC and has taken steps to improve IT security and detect security issues more effectively.
