Maple Leafs boost blue line, add Bruins' Carlo

The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired defenseman Brandon Carlo from the Boston Bruins, adding size and experience to their blue line before the NHL trade deadline. Carlo, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive player, was traded along with top prospect Fraser Minten and a first-round pick. The Bruins also traded several other players, including Brad Marchand, Charlie Coyle, Trent Frederic, and Justin Brazeau, at the deadline.
