Missouri’s St. Louis mayor confirmed five deaths in her city, where over 5,000 homes were affected, while authorities continue to search for survivors in damaged areas. The storms, part of a larger weather system affecting the Midwest and Great Lakes, have also caused extreme heat in Texas and dust storms near Chicago, impacting visibility and safety.
