The recent death of U.S. grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky has led to renewed scrutiny of Russian chess master Vladimir Kramnik, who has faced bullying accusations from peers and previously dealt with unfounded cheating allegations during the 2006 “Toiletgate” scandal. Naroditsky, who reportedly struggled with Kramnik’s accusations, was found dead in North Carolina, and FIDE is investigating Kramnik’s public comments surrounding Naroditsky’s tragic death.
