A toddler was suspended from nursery for alleged transphobic or homophobic behavior, along with 94 other pupils at state primary schools in 2022-23, including children as young as three or four years old. The Director of Advocacy at Sex Matters criticized the school leaders for projecting adult concepts onto young children, while the Director of the Free Speech Union expressed disbelief at such suspensions for breaching ‘transphobia’ policies in schools.
