Toa Payoh blaze: Faulty riser forces firefighters to haul hoses up 10 storeys; SCDF investigating

A fire broke out on the 10th and 11th floors of a Toa Payoh block in Singapore, forcing firefighters to manually carry hoses up the staircase due to a malfunctioning dry rising main. Seven individuals, including a child and a firefighter, were hospitalized, and authorities are investigating the incident while providing temporary shelter and support to affected residents.
