Times Square to Host Ball Drop for New Year’s Eve

When the ball drops in Times Square on New Year’s Eve, it will feature red, white, and blue colors to kick off celebrations for the U.S. 250th birthday in 2026. America250 Chair Rosie Rios highlighted numerous nationwide events, including a second ball drop on July 3, marking the first non-New Year’s drop in 120 years. The New Year’s event will also launch the America Gives initiative, aiming for a record year of volunteerism. Rios emphasized the importance of community involvement to unite the nation through various celebration options.
