More than 1 million Minnesotans own Tesla shares in their retirement funds, but Governor Tim Walz mocked Tesla and CEO Elon Musk for its stock market decline at a Wisconsin town hall, despite the state holding 1.6 million shares of Tesla stock in its pension fund. Trump’s team criticized Walz’s comments, while investor Kevin O’Leary called them “beyond stupid” and questioned Walz’s concern for his constituents’ financial well-being. Walz did not respond to requests for comment, as he continues his tour of Republican-leaning districts and town halls.
