TikTok still seems headed for a ban after its Supreme Court arguments

After Supreme Court oral arguments regarding a potential TikTok ban, the app’s future in the US remains uncertain as a sale or legal block is needed before the January 19th deadline. Bloomberg analyst Matthew Schettenhelm lowered TikTok’s chances of winning at the Supreme Court to 20% after the hearing, with the court unlikely to issue an administrative stay. While Trump has expressed interest in saving TikTok, potential fines for companies like Apple and Google could still apply if they continue allowing access to the app.
