Mahek and Ansreen Bukhari Sentenced for Double Murder
TikTok influencer Mahek Bukhari and her mother Ansreen Bukhari were sentenced to life in prison for the February 2022 murders of Saqib Hussain and Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin, following a car chase linked to a blackmail threat over an affair. Mahek’s minimum term was recently reduced from 31 years to 26 years and 285 days, as the Court of Appeal deemed her original sentence ‘manifestly excessive’ considering her age and immaturity at the time of the crime.
