Adelaide suffered a surprising 66-63 defeat to the last-placed Giants in their round-nine Super Netball match, despite leading going into the final quarter. The Giants, who had only one prior win this season, surged ahead with 18 points in the last term while Adelaide struggled with their super shots, making only 2 from 16 attempts. Jo Harten and Sophie Dwyer shone for the Giants, while Romelda Aiken-George led Adelaide with 49 goals; the loss leaves Adelaide outside the finals positions in fifth place.
