Tens of thousands of supporters of Iraqi Shia leader Muqtada Sadr rallied in Baghdad and other cities to protest the US-Israel war on Iran. Demonstrators filled Tahrir Square, denouncing what they termed US and Israeli aggression in the region. Sadr, who commands significant influence among Iraq’s Shia majority, called for peaceful protests to condemn the conflict, which has resulted in numerous casualties and regional unrest.
