Several thousand protesters in Podgorica, Montenegro, called for the resignations of top security officials following a shooting that resulted in 12 deaths, including two children. The rally demanded the stepping down of Interior Minister Danilo Šaranović and Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić, with chants of “Resignations” and “Killers.” The shooting, resulting from a bar brawl, led to concerns about violence in Montenegrin society, prompting authorities to announce a new gun law and tough measures to curb illegal weapons.
