Mateo De La Rocha, a high school senior in North Carolina, raised $11,000 with friends to plug an abandoned oil well leaking gas. There are 3.9 million abandoned oil and gas wells in the U.S., emitting methane that contributes to climate change. The trio connected with the Well Done Foundation to address this issue on a national scale.
