The US government drops its CHIPS Act requirements for Intel

Intel is no longer required to meet certain milestones under the CHIPS Act, as the U.S. government has taken a 10% stake in the company, allowing it to access $8.9 billion in funding after already spending $7.87 billion on eligible projects. While it must not use government funds for dividends or share repurchases, it has now fewer restrictions and workflow policy requirements.
