Plant conservation experts are seeking out rare British daffodil varieties, including the vibrant “bonfire yellow” daffodil associated with bonfire nights in Sussex, to prevent their potential loss. These unique daffodils, with over 30,000 different shapes and colors, could hold important genetic material for future plant breeding and medicinal purposes. The RHS is asking for public assistance in locating these rare daffodils in gardens and parks to help understand how they are adapting to climate change and preserve their historical significance.
