President Donald Trump took the oath of office in the US Capitol where a mob of his supporters had rampaged in January 2021. He pardoned about 1,500 of those involved, including leaders of far-right groups, who were convicted for their roles in the Capitol attack. However, 14 Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders had their sentences commuted but not fully pardoned.
