‘Let us search area near Larry Murphy’s former home for bodies of six missing women’ – forensic expert
A group of forensic experts and investigators have called on the Garda Commissioner to facilitate a search of a Co Wicklow woodland site for the bodies of several missing women.
The location, identified by David Kenny, a forensic scientist based in Germany, is close to the former home of convicted rapist Larry Murphy, who is the chief suspect in the disappearances of some of the missing women.
In an open letter to Drew Harris, Mr Kenny and four other academics and investigators from across Northern Ireland, Britain and the US, have publicly appealed to the Garda Commissioner to facilitate the search of the location after their private representations to him were rebuffed.
What information or evidence has the group of experts unearthed and what has been the response from Mr Harris?
Fionnán Sheahan is joined on The Indo Daily podcast by Sunday Independent journalist Maeve Sheehan and David Kenny, who is calling for the woodland site – which is 1.6km away from Murphy’s former home – to be searched.
