Daniel Shaun Zilke, known as “the Englishman,” was sentenced to seven years in federal prison for overseeing a scheme to launder drug money for cartels, with a $50,000 fine and $150,000 restitution. Zilke admitted to aiding drug distribution, money laundering, and obstruction of justice by stealing DEA funds. He collaborated with Jeffrey Mark Thompson and Gustavo Adolfo Aldana-Martinez, who were also convicted in the case, with Thompson awaiting sentencing and Aldana-Martinez serving a four-year prison term.
